constant hum on acceleration/stall/vibration
I have a '92 RS V6. I've been having all sorts of problems that started w/ it failing inspection. Got a new cat converter, starter, tuneup and a/c compressor within a few weeks of eachother. Timing was adjusted even after cat converter b/c it still failed inspection. After all this it feels like it's dragging and makes a constant low hollow sound at acceleration (and even when I let up on the pedal). This is with the A/C turned on. Doesn't feel as bad w/ it off although I still feel a bit of drag. It feels different even in the pedal (slight vibration). today, (after they re-adjusted the timing to try and fix it) it stalled 2x. At light, I had it in neutral because it felt like it was idling fast. When I took it out of N, it stalled! Then, I was in a parking lot and was slowing down around a turn and it died on me (no pwr steering/brakes!!). Just before it died, Service Engine lite came on. When starting bk up, no lights came on. Don't know where to turn. I'm so frustrated. Chevy dealer couldn't find anything. My local shop suggested I "get a 2nd opinion"...What's happening to my car!
