88 GTA Fuel pump stopped working??

I would appreciate any ideas you may come up with...

Past history... '88 GTA 350 TPI new battery, alternator, timing chain etc.
Mint condition Sunday driver owned for 10+ years no starting issues 150,000 kms ( 100,000 miles)
Last year oil sender changed ...fuel pump would not shut off.

Ok, today I started the car, no problem but after about 30 seconds it lost power & stalled..would not restart... fuel pump not running.
I checked the 20a fuse by battery...good
only power at the orange wire on relay, with or without key on.
I know the fuel pump is original but would like to be sure it was the problem before dropping the tank.
Any ideas for my next move?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions....Larry

Hi
I have been reading up on that & plan to check it out in the morning.
I guess I just supply 12v to the red wire...if I have one?
Thanks
