Crank but no start after manifold gasket repair
Cranking but no start after intake manifold gasket repair. So far I have done the following to the best of my ability:
1.check for spark-> couldnt figure out exactly how but tried to ground a wire and got shocked lol so im guessing spark is there
2. Fuel pressure and pump-> hear fuel pump prime when turn key, had a friend help check pressure and said that it was ok (may need to actually buy a gauge and check this but ill assume ok right now)
3. Dizzy --> after plenty of research and trial and error i believe i have this at TDC with rotor pointing towards #1 plug wire
also, every time i turn key the security light stays on so i thought to bypass VATS and still no luck. Anything i maybe missing before i redo gaskets??? thanks oh and no error codes

Id double check the distrib. Usually on an intake its easiest to mark the distrib before you pull it and put it back in place. You have to make sure you are at TDC on the right stroke, you might be 180 off on the distrib or 360 off on the crank pulley markings.

Double check all your plugs and connections. I have an MSD coil on mine and the connectors to it would come loose every so often and the car would just crank.

Re: Crank but no start after manifold gasket repair
did a 180 on wires will double check wires and dizzy again....grrrrr....hate this
thanks for the feedback.....PS i have a 350 so when i did my TDC stroke with the crankshaft i adjusted it probably more towards 2 oclock vs 12 oclock on the balancer...my timing marker is rusted so i compared with other 350s on this site
