What is this Part called? Stalling problem
What is this Part called? Stalling problem
I have been having a problem with my car heating up to operating temp, and then sputtering and stalling out. I have replaced the ECM already, my fuel pump whines REALLY loud, and cut off when the car is stalling out. But I have also noticed I can get to a certain point on the throttle and it just wont "go" anymore. I can manually pull the throttle from the engine bay and I notice that this part that is marked below does not pull in as much as it use to, as if a vacuum on it is out. Anywho I can not figure out what this part is called, help please and thank you.

Re: What is this Part called? Stalling problem
A whining pump is not long for this world. Most likely isnt the stalling problem but know you'll be doing it soon
Stall when hot suggests IGN failure, likely the IGN module in the dist has gone south. Grab one from Rock auto or other high quality seller as the local parts store electronics dont last very long
Sticking throttle is a SERIOUS safety issue. Pop the cables off the TB and check for smooth motion. Can be corrosion/wear on the shaft bushings, junk on a cable or something just sticking. Figure this out ASAP before someone gets hurt
