What emission components cam on a 1984 Trans Am

Hey Everyone. I am looking at buying a 1984 Trans Am to replace my 1991 Firebird. The car has had a vortec 350 with a carb swapped into it. Obviously all the emission stuff has been removed except for the cat. Now my current car has a smog pump, egr, A.I.R. tubes, etc. My question is which components were on the 1984 originally? I had an 84 before and I know it had a cat and an egr valve but I don't remember a smog pump or A.I.R. tubes. I'm just trying to find out what the state inspector might flag for not being there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You will need the smog pump. You can have EGR with Vortec heads and a Q-Jet using the GMPP manifold 12496820. You'll also need PCV, evap, and thermostatic air cleaner.

My 84 is bone stock and has charcoal evap canister, smog pump, A.I.R. tubes on both exhaust manifolds, 2 A.I.R. check valves, A.I.R. diverter valve, EGR and EGR solenoid. It also has a PCV valve and the THERMAC air cleaner as well. I guess it also depends on what state you live in and how strict they are towards emissions components. Here in Arizona, they do check under the hood but are mainly looking for the evap can, smog pump and A.I.R. tubes. Here is a color coded diagram that I redrew in Photoshop..it should help.

I might could try to post a pic of the sticker on my '84 Z28 LG4, but it might not show well, as my regular camera won't work anymore, so I'm reduced to my cellphone camera.

Dont forget that shity efe (early fuel evaporation) valve, on the passenger exhaust pipe. CA smog shops want to see that as well.

The 50 state emission legal Hooker 2055's don't have that...just the air tubes.

My 84 T/A, as mentioned above...charcoal evap canister, smog pump, A.I.R. tubes on both exhaust manifolds, 2 A.I.R. check valves, A.I.R. diverter valve, EGR and EGR solenoid. It also has a PCV valve and the THERMAC air cleaner as well. Mine is a 350 as well, moderate build, and it barely passes the emissions here in the UK...not sure how they differ from Cali though. I know were I back home in minnesota, I'd lose the Cat, AIR tubes, smog pump and EGR valve because no emissions there.
