need quick help with check engine light codes

I have a 91 z28 and earlier this summer it decided to start to sputter and the check engine light would come on and flash. It pretty much felt like it didn't want to get out of its own way. Also at times WHILE driving it would just shut off. This happened at night going around a turn, luckily it was close to home and i knew the road and nobody was coming, and it also would just stall. I would be waiting at a red light and i would it would feel like someone the doesn't know how to drive a stick and would stall it, but I would be at a red light completely stopped and it would feel like this. Anyways we checked the codes I got 3 codes one was it was running too lean the other too rich and the third was something about no signal to the distributor. We took the distributor apart and I figured I would start by replacing the coil pack, rotor and cap. Any thoughts on what this could be and or if this will fix it. Also is there anyone else on here that has had these problems before? I would like to get it fixed fairly quick because it is taking up room in the garage. Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: need quick help with check engine light codes

If it's randomly being stupid, could be the ECM going bad, but that's usually a last ditch attempt when everything else fails.

Check your timing and fuel pressure. Since you replaced the parts in the distributor, are you having the same issues?
