How often do solenoid type EGR valves fail?
I have a 1990 Firebird with 305 TBI enging,once the engine is warm it pings upon acceleration.
I am told the Egr valve or possibly the spark knock sensor will cause this.
My question is which of these two is more likely to fail?
The car is 100 per cent stock and was always adult owned,I am the second owner.
