Trouble Starting
First off, I would like to thank whoever can help because I haven't a clue what this could be.
1988 GTA
5.7 TPI
I have recently been having trouble starting the GTA and have no idea where to start. I filled up on premium the other day and since then, there seems to be an issue. It cranks and cranks but it won't start until you start pumping the gas pedal. Even right after it starts, you have to pump the pedal a tad until it finds its groove, which lasts about five seconds. I replaced the fuel filter and poured half a can of seafoam in the gas tank and half through the vacuum line. Still have the issue. Once I get the car started, after a couple pumps of the gas pedal, it runs fine and there are no issues. Forgot to add, it's not throwing any codes. I also just passed the emissions test with ease, so I have no idea where to start.

Yeah, that was the first thing I checked when it happened. I thought it could be the fuel pump going bad, but when the car finally gets running, it runs and idles perfect. May try to clean the IAC and TPS tomorrow and see if that helps. Thanks for the response.

Re: Trouble Starting
Sorry for the extreme delay here, but I finally got around to getting some work done. I took apart the IAC and it was caked with dirt, so I cleaned that off and it is still starting like garbage. I checked the fuel pressure, and it is about 44ish. I guess we can cancel out the IAC, fuel filter, and since the car runs fine onces it starts, the fuel pump. I'm stumped, unless its the TPS, and I have no idea what I'm doing with that.
