305 tpi will not idle unless my foot is on the gas pedal. code 34
I have a 86 305 tpi in a 1962 gmc stepside. It was not running properly so I changed wires, plugs, cap and rotor, and two injectors where no good so i had them replaced. Truck was running great then started driving with loss power again and throwing code 34. I replaced maf, ecm, power relay, burn off relay, and fuel relay. Started running perfect for one day. Now it only starts if i got my foot on the gas. If i take my foot off the gas it stalls. Still throwing code 34. Any help is appreciated. I don't know what to do. Thanks

There are some flow charts floating around here that will help you solve the code 34 problem. I have gotten a code 34 quite a few times and never "solved" the problem until recently. The one thing I can tell you is that after you have replaced the burn off, power and maf and you still have it, look at the wiring. Mine ended up being the pigtail connecting the maf to the harness. It looked brand new and was always getting voltage, but if the car was running and I just touched the connector the car would shut off like i had turned the key off. I spliced a new one in and have not had another code 33/34 in 2 years.
