i go to ebay com. looked for egr solenoid.i see that acdelco sells them. acdelco has a list of compatability. so i looked at list. saw that its compatible whit many gm cars of around that time. so i go to junk yard, see a 94 lt1. took the egr solenoid off. then i see a 89 rs , took out the egr solenoid just incase the 94 lt1s solenoid does not work. i noticed that both were realy alike. except of how to mount them. i go home thinking that finnaly, im going to have my car running like a champ. i get home took out my old one. and it looks completly different. from the design to the connection.
