iroc wont start
Greetings,
My 89 iroc 350 wont start when its warm. When the engine is cold it fires right up. I turn car off and try to restart it but it wont, it will just crank and crank but if I wait for maybe less than 10 minutes it starts like normal. What wrong with her? Help please!
New fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, starter, remote starter selenoid and spark plugs installed.

Re: iroc wont start
TRy a Ignition Control Module, located inside distributor under the rotor button - about $45 I think. They are 'testable' - but testing does no good since there's no heat applied during the test (like there is in your car). It's an electronic part, and heat kills them.

agreed. WHen I worked at advance auto we could test them. It was always a good idea to test it like 8-10 times to get it HOT and see if we could duplicate the problem. Most of the time, we could.

Re: iroc wont start
Replaced the coolant temp sensor and ignition module. Iroc is not running like it should be. Its running really rough. Just to start it I have keep pressing on gas pedal all the way down. Once it starts, it has no power. I keep flooring the gas pedal and i barely made it to mechanic. Mechanic says half the injectors arent working and says the ecm needs replacing. I never saw the check engine light up. I need help please!
Thanks,
Gerry
p.s. Anybody know of good mechanic in laredo, tx.

Re: iroc wont start
Well it wasnt the ecm, the injectors on drivers side blew the fuse. Replaced the fuse and everthing works great now. Mechanic I took the car to rushed the job, It was Friday. Now i've got two new problems now. She doesn't start hot or cold without jumping remote starter selenoid. Selenoid is brand new. Second, both fans are constantly on when car is running, it wasn't like this before starting and injector issues. Anyone have any suggestions besides me replacing the selenoid with a new one? Any help will be appreciated, Hopefully its something I can do myself instead of taking her to a shop.
Thanks in advance,
Gerry
