Car Won't Start are long drives
Car Won't Start are long drives
Been having troubles getting my '85 Camaro to start after long (hour plus drives). It doesn't happen everytime, but once in a while I'll turn the key and the car won't even turn over. Give the car a jump, and it's all back to normal. For shorter drives, it starts everytime.
I've done a few things to fix this, however it still occurs every once in a while. Curious if anyone has any thoughts. Here is what I have done:
The volt gauge shows I'm running at or close to a full charge when I'm driving down the road. Also, auxiliaries such as radio or fans still work when the car won't start.
I have a carbureted 350 with the computer/emissions stuff taken out. It started everytime for a long time after taking out the computer so I don't think that is a part of the problem.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

- Replaced battery
- Replaced alternator
- Installed remote starter solenoid
