Acceleration Problem
Acceleration Problem
I have a 1984 Camaro z28 with a 305 in it. The other day me and another guy got it to idle pretty good because we were having problems with it. We got it to idle in park at about 900 and in drive it would go down between 600 and 700. It was running alright for awhile but then whenever i tried to press the the pedal it would die.
It would start back up when i turned the key. Sometimes it would be fine when you accelerated but once you let it go down to its base idle it would die out.
Also another problem i am having is that the engine temperature is getting really hot really fast. I changed the thermostat and it was working for awhile but it doesnt seem to be working right now. The engine will get up to about 220 and i will turn the fans on and it will help out a ton. Is there something else i should be looking for?
If anyone can help me with these problems it would be greatly apprecaited!!
Thanks!
