Unsure if starter is hanging up

Hey all, few quick questions coming from a not-very experienced DIY 3rd gen owner.

Just replaced the clutch assembly, and flywheel about 300 miles ago, clutch ended up becoming misaligned because I didn't torque it to the right specs (broken torque wrench...fail). So, to I bought a new torque wrench and a used/better T5 from a seller on here.

Installed the T5 and the transmission/clutch runs 10x better (no chatter, quick engagement of the clutch, just pretty much awesome) but I get this very, very loud scraping sound coming from the bellhousing area that follows engine RPMs, regardless of what the clutch or the transmission is doing. Car generally starts okay (takes a while to turn over and fire, and won't turn at all if it's hot) I haven't had time to get under the car and look, but is a bad starter gear that is engaged to the flywheel during vic operation capable of making this god awful sound?

Thanks for any advice!
