KC4 OIL COOLER

i just got a nice used but in good condition KC4 oil cooler i thin i might have left or missplaced the c clip that goes on the Kc4 oil cooler in case i dont find it when i go back is there some other c clip that will work just fine that you can find at your local auto parts store

Just leave the clip off the only thing it does is keep the threaded sleeve in the heat exchanger for easier installation.

i also got to go back to back to the junkyard and get the gasket that goes on top off the oil cooler to block

it's just a regular oil filter gasket, take the thing to the parts store and make sure the new ring you get is thick enough, sticking out on top past the metal outer ring

Yes, I went through this recently. C clip does nothing.

thanks for the info i will do that once i change my oil filter and go ahead and install it
