Coolant temp sensor and Unknown sensor..

Hi,

I located my coolant temp sensor between spark plug one and three. I was wandering if someone could provide me a picture of what the plug looks like that goes on it. I don't think this is the right sensor though because on another post someone said it was this one

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...ntent=10711125

and the one in my car has a circle top? There is a wire thats broken and not connected to anything. The connector piece is flat and orange could this be the wire. A picture would help thanks.

There is also a sensor or what looks to be a sensor on the passenger side in between the 6th spark plug and the 8th. Its broken so I have no idea what it is or what it ever looked like. Can someone give me some insight on what this is!?! It would be cool if someone responded today so I can go buy the pieces I need.

Also is there a wire that connects to my knock sensor and what should that look like if there is one?

Thank you!

Between 1 and 3 is the coolant temperature gauge sender. Between 6 and 8 is the secondary fan switch. The coolant temperature sensor is on the water neck.

Re: Coolant temp sensor and Unknown sensor..

Thanks second question. The secondary fan switch I read up on it a little bit.. So my fan turns on automatically when I start my car. Do I still need that sensor if my fan does this? Im not too sure if there is two fans like a hidden one inside my radiator idk the post I was reading was pretty confusing.

You might have only one fan.

New to cars calm down haha. I still need to know what the wire looks like that connects to my coolant temp sensor (the one that makes my gauge work)

Re: Coolant temp sensor and Unknown sensor..

Connects to the temp gauge sending unit. Driver's side head, between #1 & #3 spark plugs. Same place as you see em in the OP's photos. Probably has the "mushroom" style terminal on it.
