hey hello im new here im 17 will be 18 tomorrow but thats besides the point i just gave my camaro a tune up and by tune up i mean changed the fuel filter, distributor cap, rotor button, spark plugs,spark plug wires,air filter,o2 sensor,belt,pcv valve and the starter and i had my master mechanic friend look me over and the car ran like a champ.Then about a week later it shut off on me in the middle of the street. i let it sit for about 5-10 mins and it cranked right back up then just 3 days ago it shut off on me again. the car cranks but does not turn on and when it does turn on it idles bad,and runs rough. from 0-30mph it runs really slow but when i hit about 40 mph its like something happens and the car just starts running correctly. PLEASE HELP ME.

 

did you happen to change you ICM? they are common for going out. i was driving one day and mine just shut off and leave it sit for a day or so and it would run again, come to find out the pick-up went out in the dizzy.

If you take the dizzy cap off you'll see a black module that's your icm

 

Could be clogged Injectors but I dont know. I'm 17 too haha.

 

If it dies on ya again pull a plug and test for spark. If it was more of a injector problem I'd think it'd be consistent.
