Hello,
I need help identifying this part. Also is it needed. I will be installing headers and a straight y pipe with no cat. All my smog stuff is also deleted. It os on the bottom of the stock manifold. It appears to be some type of a valve. Thanks.

EFE, it restricts that side exhaust forcing exhaust gas to flow through the manifold crossover, speeding up warmup and improving cold running.
