Brake Line/Fittings question

The PO installed a rear end from an 85 IROC on my 83 Z28. They were not able to hook up the brake lines before I got the car. I tried messing around with it a little bit and I can't get the brake lines to thread in the junction block. Are they different from 83 to 85? Thanks!

Re: Brake Line/Fittings question

Is the junction block part of the rear brake hose? See if they are the same part#.

The 83 fittings are probably SAE, while the 85's are metric.

That's what I was afraid of. I didn't spend too much time on it, I just figured I would see if it was a quick fix before I continued on swapping out the bellhousing on my car...finally able to convert it to a hydraulic clutch. Looks like I'm going to be looking for fittings to adapt the two together.
