firing order, 1984 Z28
I'll be terse, title explains most of it.
I have a 1984 Z28 305 that seems to be Canadian although the VIN on dash is U.S.
Got my spark plugs mixed up cause some of my markers wore off, but got some back in the right spot cause when I start the car a few pistons fire off. Got a diagram on here from a random thread that seemed to be for my engine. Said the firing order is 18436572. I hooked em up that way and I didn't get a single one to fire. Put them back as best as I could remember and now a few pistons fire.
So questions pertaining to firing order
A) is this 18436572 true for my model?
B) is this clock/counter-clockwise?

18436572
GM and many others (except ford) have used this firing order for many years. Ford numbers their cylinders differently too so that doesn't help.
Unless you have an aftermarket 4/7 swap cam or a late model LS engine which has the cylinder swap, the firing order will always be 18436572 for a V8.
When you have plug wires off, it's very easy to get 5 and 7 mixed up
Rotation is clockwise when looking down on the distributor.

low and behold 5 and 7 were messed up! they were twisted near the manifold and I got them mixed up.
But with that said, still have a problem that I'm going to post in another thread!
