Sending Unit Line Size

hello third gen fam
does any one know the size of the stainless steel lines that are on top of the sending unit. i want to splice into them to remove the unit without dropping the tank. now before some of you get all "willie nellie" thinking i am going to hack up the car i plan to add a panel just incase i decide to go bigger on the motor later. i promise it will look nice...

thanks for your help...

Re: Sending Unit Line Size

to do the access panel "right" youll need to drop the tank anway. the feed line is 3/8ths the return line is 5/16ths and i think the vent and evap lines are also 5/16ths.

Re: Sending Unit Line Size

Once you have the tank out you'll see that having to make a couple of twists and turns to remove the sending unit you'll be glade you did, as I did when my pump pooped. I installed an access port and coupled the lines, and glad I was, as six months later in 2002 my new 255lph Holley pump didn't live up to Holley's rep. Installed a used one out of an '85 in less than 30 minutes with a few choices words while navigating the pump out of the hole. Don't for get to replace the inlet filter sock.
