Need Help (injectors cutting off at 20-25 MPH???). I have an 87 Z28 with the 305 to 350 swap that ive got running from a 20 year sleep. ive rebuilded the motor and replaced most of the electronics trying to figure this out. When not under load car runs great, rev fine put it in drive it good till it hits 20-25 then it starts cutting out and cut off. I can bump it to neutral and it will crank back up and go till it hit the 20-25 mark (changed fuel pump and filter out again pressure seem to be holding at 40psi) I ran a vacuum hose to from intake to the inside and my brother shoot carb cleaner in it and we where able to get the car up to 65.There are no codes. it seem like the injectors are cutting off.The engine is stock 350 with 305 memcal and 19# injectors no performace addon. Also have some 22# injectors will they work with 305 memcal? Thanks

Distrubtor (replaced pickup coil and icm) chanded icm twice, any thing else that may cause problems
O2 sensor
coil
new cap,wires and spark plugs

 

Put the 22# injectors in, or change the memcal to a 350. Then go from there.

Got injectors changed, memcal backorder,still have same problem. I pulled the wiring harness and inspected for broken or bad connections, looked ok. Still having the problem, injectors cut out at 20 mph. Put node light on it , injectors are loosing power when it hit that spot. No codes showing. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated

 

Problems solved, got a memcal for 350 car running great. Had order memcal from autoz*** they could had it back order, Order it from tpiparts.net last Friday got it Monday, thank
