Is it worth going to 8mm plug wires on semi-stock ign. system?

My ign. system is stock with the exception on a brass terminal cap and rotor. Is it worth "upgrading to the 8mm's? Or will the spark be just as strong with the 7mm's?

Also, any recommended spark plugs for the L98(TPI)?

It really is a pain to do all this work on this engine, i dont want to have to do it again for a while!

It is a pain to change the plugs but I can get it done in about 30 minutes with a lift.

cheap carbon core wires start to break down/deteriorate from date of mfg. . a new set of wires off the shelf in a parts store may in fact be a couple of years old . a premium brand will be much better & last longer . worth the difference in price ? to me it is , i would rather pay a few bux's more and not have to wonder . i have a full MSD system on my car . dist. 8366 , wire kit (8.5mm) 31229 , coil 5526 , i'm happy . the old story you get what you pay for (i feel) is true . what ever you do , good luck .

Zero difference.

If it "runs better" then your old wires were bad to start with.

they cost under $40 at Summit or Jegs so it's not like we're talking a huge expense. In fact, they are cheaper than some OEM sets at the local parts store
