Coolant leak (passengerside of block)
Is it possible to replace a freeze plug while the engine is in the Camaro? Would JB Weld work to seal the leak?
Re: Coolant leak (passengerside of block)
Yes the freeze plugs on the side can be changed while in the car, might have to remove motor mount, starter, ect that might be in the way. It can be tough to do while lying on your back. I've used socket & extentions(so I can get a good hammer blow) to get the plugs in, don't try to patch the plug, it'll probably leak shortly afterwards.

Found the problem. Looks like the bolt next to the 8th spark plug is leaking. Gonna pull those lower last 2 head bolts and torque in some new ones. Hopefully it'll seal the gasket better.

I've had the same leak I've got 8k on new engine and have drained the system three times cleaned the hole with brake cleaner blowen it out with air dry and resealed with black rvt as recomended from builder. that bolt hole is 7 inches deep into water jackit . As I drained the antifreeze i have a pet **** to drain driver side of block drained it went to pull that bolt out, water came out at high pressure, so I pulled the knock sensor and drain that side of block to releave the pressure. anyway I hope you have luck sealing it . mine started leakinkg slowly now i'm going to try leak seal! I decided what I wanted to do. I'm just gonna park the Camaro for about 2 months. Then when I get my income tax, I'm gonna buy me a new set of AFR 1054 heads along with a new set of headbolts. If I'm gonna repair the leak, I'm gonna do it the right way, with some added power. O' yeah!!!!
