Waterman Racing components -48 Rods

Hey all, am building a 355 for my 85 Z28 and have come across some WRC-48 new old stock alloy rods at a very reasonable price. Never heard of them before all the dimensions are correct just wondering if they are suitable for my 400hp street occasional strip car? They look to be very nicely made with an extra centre web in them length ways.
Cheers

Re: Waterman Racing components -48 Rods

I'm no expert and wouldn't have a problem with aluminum rods but keep in mind that they are bulkier than steel & may need block clearencing & possibly a small base circle cam but to be honest thats only a guess! Good luck.

Thanks vetteoz, thats an interesting article, as far as i can see with research WRC rods were for drag racing application. Way overkill for my application so should be reasonable longevity, just have to warm engine up before load use appropriate lube oil
Cheers
