I swapped my 305 to a 350 I'm useing all the 305 sruff knock sensor etc i'm pretty sure I left the knock sensor unplugged atm useing the tbi I know i need to change that but was hoping it would at least start( probably run lean) car won't start at all and has started on fire twice like the timing is off backfiring or something( no backfiring sounds just flames) my friend helping me is thinking the computer is throeing to much timing in it will it start with the setup i have now? can the computer change timing if the knock senser isn't hooked up? i'm not useing the egr valve either (after market intake)

 

Turn the dist. alittle more, probably too advanced. Look at the emissions sticker for the spec & location of timing connector which you have to unhook.
