Does anyone know where to go about to check a ECM on a 1991 camaro

Check for what?
Does it display error codes when you Jumper the ALDL?

i just got the diagram of how to do this/ i have to connect a hairpin to slot 6 to slot 12 no?

You jump terminals A & B. It's the two terminals in the upper row, far right end of the connector. Turn key on and watch the check engine light flash codes.
