Newbie Connecting rod question
Ok so i am wondering if on my 400 sbc if my 350 connecting rods 5.7'' will work on my 400 engine. They have the Large journals. I feel like such a newb. thx for your time

You can put the longer rods on a 400 crank but you need aftermarket pistons which move the wrist pins higher in the piston. Look at piston choices for 5.7" rods on a 400 crank.

running these pistons and yes on a stock 3.75 stroke crank.

Then the the combo will work.
Now all you'll need, is all the clearancing... the rod bolt shoulder will hit the bottom of the cyls, the oil pan rail, and probably the cam as well (probably will need a small base circle cam if you're like me and aren't willing to hack on the rods themselves).
