LS1 heads on a L98

Some LS1 heads (cast 853) with valves and springs from a stock '99 Z28 have come up, and I'm wondering if they wouldn't help motivate the IROC-Z...

Will these fit my '88 L98 or am I looking at a world of hurt even thinking about this head swap?

Any advice appreciated!

Two completely different engine designs. They are absolutely not compatible with your Gen 1 small block chevy.

Thank you - you just saved me a small pile of cash that should probably now go towards a port job instead!
