?'s and advise

I'm looking at buying a 3rd gen and would like some pointers as to what I should be looking for as far as problem areas, any spasific questions about this setup I need to be asking, or if purchased immedate concerns about driveability. Not planning on thrashing this thing out of the gate just want to be aware of limitations

Here's what I'm looking at; 1985 IROC Z28 5 speed, 350 bored 30 over, block deck, keith black hyperutectic pistons, ARP Hardened rod bolts, melling high volume oil pump, balanced, Lunati vodoo cam 284/292 camshaft, matching valve springs, crane 1.5 roller rockers, victor jr intake, 700 holley, MSD & accwl electronic distributor, 373 gears all on car, new carpet installed.

Extra Parts- Full race suspension, sub frame connectors, extra wheels & tires, adjustable track bar, extra rear end, brand new set of richmond gears, extra fenders, drive shaft, lots of miscellaneous interior parts & more.

Any help will be greatly appreceiated.

If this is not the place for this thread please move. I just was'nt sure where to post.

Where are you buying this car? Where will it be registered? Do you live in cali? If you do, that car will never be street legal. have you seen the car? Look for rust, look for cracks on the roof near the corners of the windows. Look for rust under the car. Get the documentation for the work done. If he did it himself, he may have taken pictures. get those. And there is some more, but my brain can't think of them at the moment.

Re: ?'s and advise

If it's the stock 5 speed, it most likely wont last long behind that 350. 5 speed cars were all 305's. Is the emissions control equipment removed? If so, depending on where you live, that will be a problem. Like Ozz said, forget it in CA.
