I have a 91 z28 350 tpi and well it drives and idles fine but when im driving over a bump or if their is some what to much vibration my car does a strange thing. The gauges die , check engine light comes on, car just losses all power but does not turn of. Idnt no what this could be. Maybe a loose ground ? Some people have been telling me to change the pick up coil? What do u all think?

 

Well most likely it is electrical in nature. Years ago I had a 71 Camaro that had a similar problem. It turned out to be a hole in the cable from the battery to the starter. It was shorting out on the frame. Check yours for a similar issue.
