I installed a new fuel pump about 2 weeks ago. Well I kept smelling gas so yesterday I knocked the ring that holds it down lose and found the rubber oring was not in the correct place. Put it in the right place and put the metal ring back on. Now today the pump is not coming on. I pulled the pump up and the connector is connected. I checked for power at the yellow connecter and hot 7v from the purple wire and none from the gray. ? How do I determine if the new pump is bad or if the conector is? and where is the relay for this thing? It's on a 91new z28 tpi.

 

Nevermind guys. I cleaned the connector with electrical connector cleaner and it works now. Must have gotten something in it when I was foolin with the rubber oring.
