What do you think about these cam bearings?

I got a 305HO from a friend for free. He pulled it because it spun a bearing and he wanted to swap in a 350. The engine came out of an 88 Monte. So i pulled the whole thing apart to replace the bearings and put in a little bigger cam. I'm just going to use this motor to get my car on the road while i save up for a big block. I would like to put this motor together as cheap as possible, as im only going to be using it for maybe a year, if not a little more.

So here are some photos. Do you think i will need to get the cam bearings replaced? Also how do the block mains look? Thanks.

Why waste money on a 305,if your only gonna run it a year, you can get a 350 that runs for a couple hundered bucks.

If you spun a bearing then you'll need some machining, then might as well change the cam bearings, then they'll have to resize the the rod or journal that had the problem, ect, ect,....

Well it's not "free" any more. Gotta buy rings, bearings, gaskets, etc. since you tore it apart.

Might as well go to the junkyard and get a 96-2000 truck short block you don't have to work on. Cost less than "free", go faster.

If the bearing was spun in that block, replace the cam bearings. You'll need to make sure there's no metal in the gallery feeding the cam bearings and the only way to do that is to pull the bearings.

Alright thanks. I may just buy a goodwrench 350 for 1500 from jegs. All the 350s i go look at on craigslist have turned out to be 305s after checking the casting, so i am having no luck on the used market. Plus it shouldn be too hard to sell it when im ready to swap in the big block.
