Will it fit (LT1 gas tank)

I am in the process of swapping over an LT1/T56 from a 97 donor car into a TBI 89 Camaro. I pulled both gas tanks and I found the fourth gen unit is in much better condition, and it appears the third gen one was leaking from the sending unit. Originally I was going to sell the LT1 fuel tank and put in a AC Delco EP381 unit into the third gen tank.

Based on these pictures, the dirty tank is the third gen, is there any reason why I wouldn't be able to use the fourth gen unit? Would I be able to use my new pump if I did run it? Thanks.

Whip your measuring stick out and get the height, width and any other 'contact' points... if they are roughly the same, then i'd say yes it would work
