Obd1 codes
15-engine coolent temp
23-intAke air temp sensor
32-egr system failure
43-knock sensor
44-oxygen sensor error
54-digital egr valve selenoid 2 error
Or 54 could be fuel pump circuit(low voltage
These are all the codes i got on my 88 camaro rs 5.0 tbi 5 speed stick
I know the sensor pigtail has to be replaced
Egr might be beause i habent hooked up the t with the air pump and i connected it directly to the tbi
Knock sensor is missing that i know
Oxygen sensor says its lean? Wtf
54 might be same as 32

Re: Obd1 codes
So a new battery made all our codes but 15 dissapear? Doesnt make sense to me..
If the pigtail is broken that would explain the code for the knock sensor
Check the diaphram on the egr first, while its running make sure you feel the diaphram moving

Re: Obd1 codes
It could also be your egr temp sensor, to be sure i looked it up and it says code 32 is Fault in exhaust gas recirculation valve diagnostic switch, hence the DIAGNOSTIC SWITCH. Your EGR may be ok, its possible the temperature sensor for it is the problem.
Either way, check the EGR diaphram first then go from there

Re: Obd1 codes
well i ordered the ALDL cable... should get home around Wednesday.. i had code 15... fixed that by replacing pig tail and CTS... not i get 32 43 44... but i only get it when i go over 50 mph... while cruising code doesnt show up... also when i turn off the car the code disappears
i already got a new knoking sensor... unless i put it in the wrong hole... or the connector was broken
