Oil change
I've driven less than 1200 miles in 1 year. I understand that it is recommended to change the oil after 3000 miles or after 3 months. But does the 3 months mean regardless of the age of oil and if driven under 3000 miles?

Re: Oil change
You're going to get a dozen responses with a dozen opinions on this question. Here is mine: The 3000 mile recommendation is not from GM. I believe Jiffy Lube started that marketing campaign to sell more oil. Then everyone jumped on the band wagon. That said, if you have only put 1200 miles on it in a year, change the oil. I believe the owners manual recommends changes at 7500 miles of regular driving. If you push it a little harder, use the 5000 mile rule. But you should change it every year if you drive less.
