Bare Bone Requirements under the hood?

I need to know what parts are needed in order to have a functioning 1989 TPI camaro??? What I'm getting at is I want to take out as much stuff as possible under my hood while still maintaining street driving functionality. I want to keep my TPI so please do not say "put a carb on it and you only need three wires haha". My wire harness is slashed all to pieces and all my vacuum lines are shot and I'm not sure if anything other than my engine works...so I want to eliminate everything that is not needed to operate my vehicle so that I can order a custom wire harness and computer...I have a 5.7 TPI engine in a 1989 IROC. Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Not being a smart a$$, but first step is your Chilton's manual and electric schematics...

A standalone aftermarket EFI harness ( using stock or aftermarket computer ) will only operate the engine anyway ;you still need other wiring

so you need to decide what other factory elec items ( lights A/c ,etc ) you want to keep

Re: Bare Bone Requirements under the hood?

thanks for the comments, I have decided to repair as much of the harness as possible, the main question I was attempting to ask (not very well on my part) was can I get rid of emissions components and still have the TPI? charcoal canister and vacuum lines, egr ect....or are those components needed?

thanks
