after a looong hiatus
Hi all, its been quite a while since I've posted here but I've never forgot this site
anyway I'm to this point

and I'm wondering the best way to go about cleaning the engine bay up. both wiring wise and actually scrubbing the grime off wise. at the moment I don't have access to running water but that should change in the near future.
thanks all

without water I'd say it can't be done.
But when you get water, pressure wash (a good pressure washer not those little electric things - I use a 3200psi/4-5 gpm) off the thick stuff down to the paint/metal and use Purple Power degreaser. Disclaimer: Don't get it on you anywhere and wear goggles and gloves etc. It will take the oils out of your skin which is a bad thing and will blind you.
Or you could use oven cleaner but that will take paint off. I don't recommend that near anything you like with paint. I have used it to degrease with great results. Oven cleaner is great for getting grime off.
On the wires buy some plastic wire loom and stuff them in it like the factory did. Wires that need to go to the starter wrap with something heat resistant.
