Faulty fuel gauge?
I don't know if my fuel gauge is working correct or not. When I drove the car home last saturday, I was at a half a tank I let it idle for 5mins while I talked with a friend I looked at my fuel gauge I was at a quater, after a 15min drive I was almost on empty, I drove it for 2 mins I was on empty I shut off the car at a walmart started it 15mins later I was at a quater again.... then I drove to my friends on empty again.... drove home had just above empty, brought it home started it then next day it ran, car completey on empty, put $10 worth just above empty 2 mins later.... empty..... now I let it run 5mins on empty to see what happens, it keeps running.....

Re: Faulty fuel gauge?
mine had done that at one point, i had a bad ground behind my cluster.. knocked it loose when i was installing a light bulb in the dashboard, or the floater in your tank could be real loose? shake your car or jack it up on each side to see if it (the gas gauge) changes, if the needle doesnt change then the floater could be loose.. if it does slighty change or flips around a little rapidly.. could be a loose wire. start touching wires and see if the needle moves as well?

Nope she has been sitting in the yard for weeks while I work on her. Just put a dress up kit on it, I have a bunch of amazing wiring issues to deal with on it, (No Hazards, No Backup lights) Something to do with my tilt column probably a bad connection. I call my car the Nightmare T/A since she needs so much work. I love it though!

oh geez what is the matter with you haz switch probably the same as me? this is what my car does.... I put the stop haz fuse in and the brake lights turn constantly on, then i put the haz switch on the indicator lights up doesn't flash though and the lights all come on they dont flash, i remove the fuse and hook up the ******* wire for the brake lights and i have brake lights again lmao

oh yes. my friend owned a 1980 firebird, it was his first car he had to sell it since it needed to be inspected and it kept trying to light itself on fire.
