Why will Street Fire wires fit a Camaro but not Firebird?

I REALLY need to do spark plugs, cap, rotor, coil, Spark plug wire and I plan to put a Street Fire Ignition in. Trying to order all Street Fire stuff. They were reviewed well, the price is great and they are also all black (keeps a stock look - I don't want a colorful engine bay on this car).

BUT on the Street Fire website they show the plug wires as fitting a 87-92 Camaro 5.0 TBI but NOT a 87-92 Firebird 5.0 TBI? the Summit Racing website shows the same. Why? Isn't it the same pretty much under the hood of both the Camaro and Firebird? What am I missing?

This is off the Street Fire website www.street-fire.com

YEAR_______MODEL_____ENGINE___ENG VIN___COIL____WIRE SET

1987-92-----CAMARO----5.0 V8-------F-------5526------5570

1987-92-----FIREBIRD----5.0 V8-------F-------5526------????

Exact Link: www.street-fire.com/street_fire_wire_app_guide.pdf

Same thing on Summit: www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-5570/?rtype=10

Someone please help, I want to order this today so I can bang it out for the weekend.

Is it a tech glitch on the MSD Street Fire Application Guide?

Re: Why will Street Fire wires fit a Camaro but not Firebird?

I just talked to the tech at MSD Street Fire and he told me that YES the plugs, as well as the Cap and Rotor (that are also omitted from the application guide) will fit both the 87-92 Camaro and Firebird V8 5.0 305TBI. Which obviously makes sense. I just ordered from Summit Racing.

My set-up will be all MSD Street Fire:

MSD-5520 STREET FIRE IGNITION BOX $119.49
MSD-5502 STREET FIRE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR $22.95
MSD-5526 STREET FIRE IGNITION COIL $32.95
MSD-5570 STREET FIRE SPARK PLUG WIRES $38.95

Free shipping and I had $20 Summit bucks! Blows away anything locally unfortunately. I plan to get AC Delco spark plugs at O'Reillys. I just think Street Fire is the most bang for your buck as far as a 305 TBI goes.
