92 Firebird. I need advice!!!!
Ok so I have a 92 firebird 3.1 liter v6. I'm wanting to replace the fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump and all that good stuff. But I have a problem. I have access to the all data for my firebird. It says the capacity for the fuel tank is 16 gallons. The fuel tanks I'm looking to buy are all 14 gallons. Am I going to have a problem here? Are they not exactly the same? Will the bolts and my old straps not fit on this new gas tank? Please help! Thank you!

Why replace the tank? ALL the '92s had the baffled tank that in earlier years only came with the 1LE. Keep the desirable tank you already have.

What's 1LE? And I was thinking I want to replace it because there's ridiculous amounts of debris inside of it. I tried cleaning it but it's almost impossible since there seems to be different compartments inside the tank. Unless you know a way to clean it or a company that does. I wouldn't mind trying that again.
