TRYING TO IDENTIFY AN ENGINE

i have an oportunity to buy an engine for my car but im not sure what it is, looking at it, it looks like a newer chevy engine but the problem is the person who has it isnt sure either, he was told it was a dodge engine by one person and a chevy or pontiac engine by another, its a newer fuel injected engine with aluminum heads, the numbers that ive found cast into the block are 12551358 but i cant find anywhere to look up that number, any help would be apreciated since im waiting to figure out what the engine is before i decide whether im going to buy it or not

It's a 4.8 or 5.3 GM LSx.
