HELP!!! I cracked my fuel line!!!
HELP!!! I cracked my fuel line!!!
V6, MPFI, standard, etc. 89 firebird.
I was changing the fuel filter, and the nuts were rusted bad, I used WD40 on the join's but alas it twisted the fuel line going to the tank, right at the bend where it comes off of the filter, and now it leaks.
it was spraying out with the car running, but I plugged it with SEAL ALL, and Jb weld, so now it dosn't leak with the car off, but with it on, it drips.
I know I'm going to have to cut out the problem piece, so I'm looking for idea's to get around it.

If you mean tube ferrule style fittings they are not meant for the kind of fuel psi the pump puts out. Flare it and put a union in. Or go to the junkyard and pull a line, The same thing happened to me on my 86' sport coupe with the 2.8L
