I put a msd 6a on ,Then it would not start. So i disconnected the msd and put everthing back like it was,(to see if coil was bad)Bought a new coil to be sure still wont start.I have power to the pink wire to the coil.Used a jumper to see if i was getting spark form coil.No spark!!!So if am getting power to the coil (from the pink wire)Should i not get spark?
I put a jumper in coil wire from the coil to seee if i had and spark.I didnot have spark? HELP PLEASE!!!!iT DONT MAKE SENCE.

 

Could it be the igition module?

 

Did you replace the distributor? I replaced all ignition components on my 88 and turned out to be the pick up coil on the distributor. Just a thought.

 

yep that what it was.I try to hook msd6a back up now!!!

 

i am glad to help. I have gotten a lot of help from this forum. i even got some help with setting the distributor after i took it out.
