Iroc to caddy starter probs Help!

Ok so I knew there was a swap from tpi to throttle body and the engine he said came out of a 93 caddy limo I'm guessing the fleetwood? Now I'm replacing my starter and I can't get it to line up right I was using the iroc starter and yes I know use the caddy one instead already tried that the 89 iroc and 93 caddy are pretty much the same what do I do. I'm leaving for afgainistain soon and need this car running someone help me please!

Re: Iroc to caddy starter probs Help!

Well if the engine is from a caddy and the starter from the caddy is present, it should fit. Im confused as to why it wont line up.

If the iroc one was working, maybe you can just get another iroc starter like yours and use it

If you arent sure what the engine is out of, are you positive its the correct starter for the engine? Or did you just go get a fleetwood starter in hopes of it fitting?

But what pattern bolt holes in the block do you have ?
which starter type do you have ,inline bolts or offset
Do bolt holes match those in the block?

Mine looks just like the one in the pic and the holes on the starter are in line. Should I try a offset starter? It's the flexplate
