84 305 4bbl wont start
ive got an 84 camaro with a 305 and a 4 barrel carburetor that wont start.
Its getting fuel and spark, the engine turns over but the car wont start.
Anybody know what the cause could be?

To run, an engine need air, fuel, compression, and spark, in the right amounts at the right time.
So, you either aren't getting a proper air/fuel ratio, or you don't have sufficient compression, or the spark is weak, or the spark isn't getting there at the right time.

It sounds like the spark and fuel are getting together, just not at the right time. Have you done anything recently with the distributor cap, rotor,or wires? Check to make sure that the base is still clamped and hasn't turned. Check the inside of the cap and rotor for arcing, cracks, moisture or some other visible problem. If you don't find anything then the problem is probably a little deeper in the motor.

Sounds like you may have the wrong firing order. your wires should be on the cap and go to plugs 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 in a clock-wise rotation. No 1 wire should be toward the front of the engine somewhere around the 6:00/6:30 position. Drivers side is odd numbered from the front of the engine and pass side is even. If you didn't loosen the dist., this should be no problem.

Start with what was changed before the issue. if you changed cap, sparks, and wires I would say check your firing order from the cap make sure you have the order right and if you pulled the dizzy at all make sure it is aligned right as well.
