Strange issue.... Runs one day and won't run the next...
Okay so I drove my car one day and all was fine. Then it rained and my car would not fire at all. It would turn over but would not try to start at all. I figured the distributor got some moisture in it somehow. The next day it was sunny and warm. I tried starting it again. Nothing.
I checked the coil and it was dead. I know the coil was getting juice though because we checked the two plugs that plug onto the coil and they were getting power.
I had intended to pick up another coil but funds are low and its been sitting for a month. Yesterday I noticed one of the wires that go to the coil was broken. It is a white wire. That plug has a white wire and a bigger red wire. I fixed the broken white wire and tried starting it. It started right up! I took it for a drive and it was fine.
BUT this morning I went back out to start it and it wont fire again. I don't understand it. And we have had NO rain for a month. We are in severe drought with very low humidity so moisture in the distributor isnt a problem.
1991 Camaro RS V6. Has anyone had this problem?

Make sure your repair is good and tight. Also make sure it didnt break further down the line somewhere. Also ignition modules are common in these. can do extremly weird things (good then bad, intermittent no start etc) you should be able to take it to any local parts chain and have it tested. Just make sure they test it MULTIPLE times. Ive had bad ones test good 1, 2, 2 times but the 4th, it tested bad. Make sure they test it good.

Sounds a lot like a condenser to me. Had a VERY similar thing happen to me before. Not sure if the V6 dizzy has one, but it's worth replacing. Nice and cheap.
