clutch not fully disengaging?
clutch not fully disengaging?
my bad if this is in the wrong section.
work I've had done to clutch:
new master
new slave
new clutch
flywheel resurfaced
Problem:
had the master cylinder replaced 2 days ago. new master cylinder when pushed does not go as far down (towards the floorboard) as my old one. it goes down far enough to when i hold it and I'm in gear that the clutch does not engage, but as soon as i let off the clutch a little it starts engaging. however, when I am in neutral at a complete stop trying to go into first it gives me trouble; sometimes i have to press the clutch in really quick and throw it in gear.
so please if you have any ideas, I am open to hear them.
Edit: Forgot to say i cannot simply put it in reverse. ive tried going from 1st to reverse going through the gears to reverse everytime i put the car into reverse it grinds so i have to throw it in reverse fast

Re: clutch not fully disengaging?
Clutch line to the slave sounds likes its failing. Also bleed the system again. See if you have any air in the system. Good luck!
