Power balance test results
I have been troubleshooting a fuel trim issue for the past week, although it has been an issue for years. I decided to run a power balance test, here are the results of three runs averaged. The results are change in engine RPM from reference.
#1 - 107%
#2 - 104%
#3 - 95%
#4 - 92%
#5 - 93%
#6 - 95%
Cylinders 3-6 look normal, 1 and 2 have me stumped. What would cause RPM to increase when disabling an injector? Thanks for any input.

Re: Power balance test results
Do you have any ALDL data?
Is the IAC disconnected for the test?
Does the ign timing change any during the testing?
Could knock counts be pulling some timing when testing cyls 3-8?
Significant difference in inj resistance from 1/2 compared to the rest?
