accelerator cable

I went to replace my cable today and noticed the new one is about 4to5 in longer than the old one.

I ordered mine from napa part #6101526 and its 30.125 in long I tried to measure the old one as best as possible and got about 25 in.

Any idea what my problem is?

Too much worrying over things that don't matter?

As long as the parts that stick out are the right length, the fittings are the same, and there's room to route it, it doesn't matter.

Re: accelerator cable

Well when I hooked it up there was no pressure on the gas pedal. The cable was too long, so I just returned it and put the old one back in. Im replacing the tv cable and shifter cable and figured why not replace the accelerator cable
